We have a Goodyear blimp here in Gardena, Calif. I live 6 minutes from there. My house is a long the typical flight path. So, we see her fly over several times a week.

I live in S FL, and my father was working for WINZ news radio and WCIX channel 6 back in the 1980s. We went for a ride in the GOODYEAR blimp. It was very memorable.

I can remember as a child growing up in northwest Houston back in the late 70's/early eighties and the blimp would buzz our subdivision quite often. You could hear it coming from miles away. I had a friend who's dad knew someone and we got to take a ride around. Lots of fun.

The California roll these days is typically an inside out roll and contains cucumber. This is more of just a crab roll.

Blimps are real!

Even though Goodyear still refers to its airships as "Blimps" they aren't blimps at all. The last Goodyear Blimp was retired in 2017. This is a Goodyear Zeppelin because it has a rigid airframe. Cool fact: It was built by the same German company that built the HIndenburg back in the day.
